As part of the Partnership for Sustainable Development (PaSD) cooperate social responsibility and to address the basic socioeconomic, and livelihood needs of especially vulnerable population such as people with disabilities, the aging, victims of disasters including war, flood, fire outbreak and epidemic, the organization seeks funding, material and food kind assistance from within Liberia and abroad on behalf of target beneficiaries.
The funding when donated, PaSD will use same in many ways for the improvement of the livelihood of targeted beneficiaries including people with disabilities, the aging, the elderly, parentless children, homeless youths, fire, flood and health emergency victims. Particularly, selected beneficiaries who meet set criteria will be trained and provided micro finance to start and engage in small business activity while others, base on results of needs and capacity assessments will be provided support using donated funding in the form of enrolment into homecare, education and other social services programs.
Materials donation will be used by PaSD in many ways for the improvement of the living condition and wellbeing of targeted beneficiaries including people with disabilities, the aging, the elderly, parentless children, homeless youths, and fire, flood and health emergency victims. Particularly, donations suitable for individual use will be given to those in need while those suitable for group use will be presented to the relevant entities and/or individual to manage on behalf of the group of beneficiaries.
Example of materials for individual use could range from wheelchair, scooters, walking aids, bathing aids, raised toilet seat, hearing aids, electronic speech devise to items such as clothing, food, zinc, copybook, pencil, book bag, shoes, towel, etc while materials for group use include but aren’t limited to food, housing, boarding and enrolling schools.
